Hello and welcome
Designing Flexible Learning Practice is part of the Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Learning and Teaching (GCTLT) being offered by Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin, New Zealand.

This email comes to you through an email list. You are welcome to use the list to discuss issues, ask questions, make suggestions etc. during and after the course dates.

Go to the course outline. In it you will find information about the course: aim, learning outcomes, content and descriptions of assessment activities. Like all course outlines it is intended as a guide and can be clarified and negotiated during the course. It is also available through the Blackboard Learning Management System.

Before the first workshop on 31 May, please go to: http://online.tekotago.ac.nz

  • Click student resources to look at the student guide and other resources
  • Click Blackboard login
  • username: usual one for staff
  • Password: compaq (unless you are already a Blackboard user and have already changed it)
  • Under My Courses
  • Click on LT702001: Designing for Flexible Learning Practice
Follow the instructions on the welcome Announcement.
You will be asked to set up your homepage.

We're all looking forward to seeing you at one of the first face to face workshops and/or meeting you online. There will be online virtual classroom sessions scheduled (to be negotiated with the class) in between the four face-to-face workshops.

Face to face sessions will all be at at the Forth Street Campus of Otago Polytechnic, NZ.

Workshop 1 -
Choose from one of the following 2 options:
10:00 - 12:00 on the 31st of May in room H513 (H523 2nd hr)
or
1500 - 1700 on the 1st of June in room H311 (H523 2nd hr)

If you can't make it to the face to face workshop, notes and recordings will be made available. Plus there will be ample opportunities for communicating with the class.
